Mr. Emilio Escartin holds a BSc in Business Administration from CUNEF (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain), holds a General Management Program (postgraduate) from IESE Business School (Universidad de Navarra, Spain), FIPED Program of Microfinance (diploma) from HARVARD Kennedy School of Government (HARVARD University) and a Corporate Finance Program focus on Companies Valuation (diploma) by IE Business School (Madrid, Spain).
He has more than 19 years of experience in Private Equity activity, Investment Banking (buy side) and M&A (sell side) with deep knowledge of Professional Standards for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry. Ha has taken part in direct investments and in the whole live cycle of a Private Equity Fund: Legal Structuring, Fundraising and Placement, Investing, Monitoring and Exit and have managed four Private Equity Funds (EBN VACCARIA FUND, EBM ALISMA FUND, EBM PRINCIPIA FUND and DIANA CAPITAL FUND I).
Experienced in Fair Market Valuations and structuring M&A deals. Buyouts, Due Diligences Processes and corporate banking. During his career he worked as an Investment Director of Private Equity of EBN CAPITAL (General Partner of Private Equity of EBN BANK) in Madrid (Spain), where he managed 3 Private Equity Funds (1 Startup Fund and 2 Funds specialized in Growth and Buyouts). He was member of the Board of Directors of EBN CAPITAL, Pescanova, Textura, Cadena Q and Nekicesa.
He was Director of BDO Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory Services (M&A, Due Diligence, Valuation and Fairness opinions) in Madrid (Spain).
He also worked as an Investment Director of DIANA CAPITAL in Madrid (Spain), (private equity firm raising DIANA CAPITAL FUND I) and Senior Associate of M&A of Finconsult-Gesconsult, a subsidiary of CCF-Charterhouse, bank owned by HSBC.
